Thunderbird Lodge

Situated in Canyon de Chelly is the historic Thunderbird Lodge, featuring 73 modern rooms equipped with comfortable beds, full bathrooms, rustic furniture, Navajo paintings and cable television.

The Dining facility of The Thunderbird Lodge is located in the original trading post built in 1896.

Thunderbird Lodge’s pink adobe construction is reminiscent of ancient pueblos with ceiling fans and air conditioners to keep the rooms cool in the summer months. Guests enjoy sitting in the shade of cottonwood trees that were planted in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
